Hampton Roads Vineyard & Winery is situated in the beautiful rural area of Elberon, Virginia, just south of Surry and across the James River from Jamestown. Located at White Oak Farm where Harry Spratley first raised horses in 1898 for the New York City carriage trade, it is now where grapes are grown, wines are made, Red Angus cattle are raised, and is home to the World's Tallest Goat Tower.
We are open under Phase Three guidelines, which means we can operate nearly the same as before the crisis. PPG is still required to enter (but not to drink), and you can sit pretty much anywhere assuming social distancing is maintained. Along with our wide open spaces, we now have a walking tour of the farm to provide a little exercise as you sip away. Cheers.
Beef from our grass-fed red Angus bulls raised at White Oak Farm will be available mid-November. Cuts will be available for purchase at the Winery, as well as select farmers markets. For 1/4 and half portions, contact the Winery for details.
